This family unit is a grandmother who has custody of her two young grandsons. Their home was damaged by the storm and as a result they are temporarily staying in an RV until the roof and other damage can be repaired. The construction material after insurance is still $8,000. She is in desperate need of clothes and shoes for the boys, as many of their items were damaged.

The family consists of a couple in their 60's and their two adult autistic children, a son and a daughter. They are in need of financial help. Their septic tank backed up into the home during the storm and windows were blown out from a tornado that went near their home allowing rain to blow in.
Now their mobile home has mold, their furnace is not working, they need to replace their flooring, kitchen and bathroom cabinets and fixtures and flooring. Estimates are in the $40,000 range. Their son's room was heavily damaged and he is sleeping on the couch. Their children are struggling with the changes and are having outbursts. They are unable to live on their own.
If you are so inclined to bless this family with a new mobile home, they would be forever grateful. (They are only asking for help with the repairs.) To sponsor this family

Family #4 from our Adopt A Family group:
"I’m married to my high school sweetheart, we’ve been married 18.5yrs and been together 21 years. We have an 18yr old daughter and a 5yr old daughter, and our 3 chihuahuas. We were hit hard by Helene. We have water damage to our floors, our walls, and our ceilings, which have now caused mold. My husband is our sole income due to me having mental health issues and also blood clots in both lungs and on my heart. Oct thru Jan are hard months for my family as these are months we have lost close loved ones. We are from Spruce Pine NC and our town was hit so hard including our children’s park being washed away. We were gifted a camper and we are very thankful. I have put a pink jeep power wheel on my 5yr olds list due to the one she got last year being messed up from the storm. We lost our couches, clothing, a full size mattress and box springs, a king mattress and box spring, our kitchen stuff including a refrigerator and about 1500.00 in food, including a 600.00 cow. We need items to be able to live in our camper, get it ready for winter, food and Christmas presents for our two daughters. We are between our camper and a hotel until at least January due to my husband’s work. We are also open to restaurant gift cards to have hot meals while at the hotel and gift cards for groceries and gas to travel back and forth for drs appts. We appreciate any help you are willing to help our family. Also have an outfit and decorations my 5yr old wants for her bday in January. Thank you and God bless"
